5I love this sheet!  Jun 20, 2002
By Colorado reader & parent
Buy 2 of these, so you can have a clean one ready while you do laundry.

Usually, I write Good Things and Bad Things, but I have no complaints - so this time, only Good Things!
Good Things:
1) Easy to get on and off.
2) Soft cotton top over waterproof bottom.
3) You can put your 'cute' sheets underneath, and really never have to change them, because they never get dirty. So you only need 1 set of pricey sheets if looks are your concern.
4) What else do you need out of a crib sheet? :)

5Convenient and efficient  Mar 16, 2002
By Kathy Livingston
I have loved having these crib sheets! I only have to use one regular sheet, and then this goes over the top. When it needs to be changed, a few snaps does the trick and off it comes. Otherwise I'd have to have a mattress pad, a waterproof pad, and a regular sheet, and all three would have to come off for each change. With the thick mattress on the crib, changing them would be a real chore. The Ultimate Crib Sheet saves time and money.

1Makes life easier but CAUTION!!  Jan 12, 2006
By J. Hankinson
We have used Ultimate Crib sheets since the beginning with our 9 month old twins. They were a huge time saver and we have recommended them to other parents. This morning I found one of our girls "pinned" under a corner of the sheet nearly suffocating. She had managed to get her head under the corner and the tension on the snap trapped her head under the sheet facing the rubber bottom. She is ok, but needless to say we have removed our Ultimate Crib sheets and will not be using them any longer. Please be careful and don't let this happen to you!!!

5One of the best baby products ever!!!  Jun 08, 2001

It is the ULTIMATE crib sheet!!! It's easily changed w/o having to remove the bumper pads to get the mattress out... You avoid the struggle of trying to get the fitted sheet over the mattress pad and mattress (which is always a tight fit). It allows you to leave the pretty bedding sheet on which still shows from the sides. I bought two when my fourth baby was born (they didn't have these w/ my other three) and they have lasted for over 2 years!!! A great gift and a must for every

new Mom!

4Buy more than one!!  Jan 24, 2003

This is great product that has enabled me to change my son's bedding in about 2 minutes which is a huge help, especially during the middle of the night. No more stripping the entire crib and struggling to pull the crib sheets tightly under the mattress; all you do is snap the elastic ties around the crib slats and you are done! Another plus, stains (even those from pink amoxicillin!) wash out very easily. I would have given this 5 stars but I have had 2 small problems with this item: 1.)The plastic backing on one of the three sheets that I purchased has begun to crack/tear(but it still works) and, 2.) the same sheet did not come with any snaps at the headboard/footboard ends. I think that this may have just been a manufacturer's defect but if you're purchasing this item in the store, you may want to take the sheet out of the bag to check if there is a snap at the top and at the bottom. Other that these 2 minor problems, this is a wonderful product to have.

The Importance Of Lighting In Interior Design

   by Jessica Ackerman

Everyone knows how important paint color, furniture choices and artwork are to interior design. One aspect of design that is often overlooked, however, is lighting. Lighting not only affects the brightness of the room, but it can also change the way a paint color looks, cast shadows in ways that make the room seem smaller and have an impact on the presentation of art work.

There is no light like natural light. If you are buying, building or remodeling, opt for as much natural light as possible. Oversized windows and skylights are two ways to get the most natural light. Of course, not everyone is in the position to be able to do that, so you'll have to work with what you have.

How much natural light do you get in your room? If the room in question faces north, you won't get as much natural sunlight as you would in a southern facing room. Rooms that face south get bright, natural light throughout the day. Rooms that face east will only have good natural light in the morning hours and western facing rooms will have the most light during the afternoon.

Once you are familiar with how much natural light is in each room, you'll be able to make informed choices about what additional lighting may be necessary. Keep in mind that rooms with little or no natural light will need artificial lighting - even during the day - in order to look their best. Here are some types of lighting to consider.

1. Accent Lighting

Accent lighting is perfect when you want to showcase a piece of art or a special piece of furniture or other item. Since light draws the eye, it will bring attention to the features in your room that you wish to highlight.

2. Hanging Light Features

Chandeliers and smaller hanging lamps can be beautiful as well as functional. A trip to the local home improvement store will quickly show you how overwhelming the choices can be. You'll want to select lighting that blends in with your existing décor. For example, a crystal chandelier in a country themed dining room probably isn't the best option. If you don't choose carefully, your lighting may stick out like a sore thumb and become more of an eyesore than a lovely accent.

3. Recessed Lighting

Recessed lighting is a good choice for a room that needs extra light throughout the day. Because the lighting won't interfere with the existing decor, it can work in almost any room. It provides abundant light without taking up a lot of space or interfering with other aspects of the room.

4. Lamps

Using lamps are a way to add not only additional lighting, but also punches of color. If possible, see how much light the lamp gives off before leaving the store. Many lamps serve as decoration more than as a light source and give off very little light. If you love the lamp, but it doesn't give off quite enough light, consider changing the shade which will usually solve the problem.

When decorating your home, remember how important lighting is, and give it the same thought and attention you give to the other details of decorating your home.
