2bounces backwards  Feb 28, 2009
By john
I bought this for my new girl. We had a Calming Vibrations Bouncer from her older brother, but could not resist getting a pink bouncer. Cons: It appears to bounce differently and not at smoothly as the Calming Vibrations Bouncers. It also craddles too much. Perhaps a bigger baby would not get lost in the sagging seat. Pros: It is very pretty and the play toys are nice. In general: Our little girl hates this Bright Starts Bouncer. Our neighbor gave us pink verison of the Calming Vibration bouncer (Fisher Price Think Pink Bouncer) and she loves that one and it is cute. I think these are dependent on the babies, but both of mine liked the Fisher Price Calming Vibrations types. Too bad I bought this one she hates.

3So So  Jan 12, 2009
By Chantal A. Braddy "Allison Braddy"
Well I've never owned an bouncy seat before so I cannot give this less than three stars... since this may be more common than I know. BUT this seat is QUITE noisy in the vibration mode. And the music is definately nothing special. After I purchased this seat I played with the boppy version at babies r us and was much more impressed. It is double the cost, but in the end for a product that gets used so often I feel it's probably worth it. I do however feel the design in fun and the toys are cute. My baby isn't here yet, so maybe it will turn out to be okay... or not. Hope so though! One more note... when putting it together, my husband (who is a pro a putting stuff together) had trouble with one of the pieces clicking in and staying put. However once the fabric was on the seat it seemed to secure everthing. But can't say it wasn't annoying. For the price this is a decent seat. You get what you pay for.

5Bettern Then I expected  Apr 13, 2009

This bouncy seat is bettern then I expected. The fabric is so soft and the adjustments are easy to change. The package says not for babys over 25 lbs but my 1 1/2 year old sat in it and he weights 34lbs and it still holds. Baby girl has not arived yet but I think she will love it as much as I do if not better. I wish I were small enough to sit in it.

2Cute, But Not Comfy!  Mar 08, 2009
By Vegas Scrapper
We are foster parents who have cared for several baby boys over the years. When we finally got the call for a newborn girl, we were over the moon... and decided she needed cute pink girly things. This new bouncy seat was one of our first purchases... and also one of our first things in the trash. The seat was not supportive. Her head rested on the strap that keeps the seat attached at the top, and her legs were supported by the uncomfortable strap that keeps the seat attached to the bottom. This seat was all sag and no support! We will stick with our favorite BOY seat for our little princess, the inexpensive and much loved ght Starts Musical Melodies Bouncer.

5So Cute!  Feb 19, 2009

Got this for a friend for shower gift. It is so nice. I thought the price was great also! She just loved it. We will see how it holds up, but if looks matter it gets 5 stars for that!!!

Also, I noticed on the package that "Bright Starts" supports breast cancer research. Very impressed and thankful that purchased something that some of proceeds goes to such a good cause.

The Importance Of Lighting In Interior Design

   by Jessica Ackerman

Everyone knows how important paint color, furniture choices and artwork are to interior design. One aspect of design that is often overlooked, however, is lighting. Lighting not only affects the brightness of the room, but it can also change the way a paint color looks, cast shadows in ways that make the room seem smaller and have an impact on the presentation of art work.

There is no light like natural light. If you are buying, building or remodeling, opt for as much natural light as possible. Oversized windows and skylights are two ways to get the most natural light. Of course, not everyone is in the position to be able to do that, so you'll have to work with what you have.

How much natural light do you get in your room? If the room in question faces north, you won't get as much natural sunlight as you would in a southern facing room. Rooms that face south get bright, natural light throughout the day. Rooms that face east will only have good natural light in the morning hours and western facing rooms will have the most light during the afternoon.

Once you are familiar with how much natural light is in each room, you'll be able to make informed choices about what additional lighting may be necessary. Keep in mind that rooms with little or no natural light will need artificial lighting - even during the day - in order to look their best. Here are some types of lighting to consider.

1. Accent Lighting

Accent lighting is perfect when you want to showcase a piece of art or a special piece of furniture or other item. Since light draws the eye, it will bring attention to the features in your room that you wish to highlight.

2. Hanging Light Features

Chandeliers and smaller hanging lamps can be beautiful as well as functional. A trip to the local home improvement store will quickly show you how overwhelming the choices can be. You'll want to select lighting that blends in with your existing décor. For example, a crystal chandelier in a country themed dining room probably isn't the best option. If you don't choose carefully, your lighting may stick out like a sore thumb and become more of an eyesore than a lovely accent.

3. Recessed Lighting

Recessed lighting is a good choice for a room that needs extra light throughout the day. Because the lighting won't interfere with the existing decor, it can work in almost any room. It provides abundant light without taking up a lot of space or interfering with other aspects of the room.

4. Lamps

Using lamps are a way to add not only additional lighting, but also punches of color. If possible, see how much light the lamp gives off before leaving the store. Many lamps serve as decoration more than as a light source and give off very little light. If you love the lamp, but it doesn't give off quite enough light, consider changing the shade which will usually solve the problem.

When decorating your home, remember how important lighting is, and give it the same thought and attention you give to the other details of decorating your home.
