4Great Roundabout Safety with added Side Impact bonus and Beautiful Pattern  Oct 18, 2007
By M. K. Kurtzman
This is a miniaturized version of Britax Boulevard in a Roundabout body. It is easy to install with a seat belt since we decided to install it on the rear middle seat of our Volvo XC90(as sugested by consumer report magazine). It is super easy to get my daughter in and out. I would recommend this product over Roundabout series. Only draw back I can think of is, if your baby is on the large side, this seat may be little tight. My daughter is on the skinny side(19lbs,29") and she fits perfectly in the seat.
We just love the pretty design and pattern of this seat! I am sure glad Britax came out with the Diplomat.

5Thank Goodness!!! Finally!!  Nov 04, 2007
By Alia Anthony
Ok, I had been searching frantically for our next car seat as my 11 month old daughter was on the verge of popping out of her Infant seat. I have a smaller car, a VW Jetta and my husband has a larger car. So, when we started looking we wanted a car seat that we felt 100% comfortable with having our daughter in (since we live in LA) and one that both my husband and I liked as far as color. We were set on getting the Brittax Roundabout until I went to the store and found this one. Without hesitation I purchased 2, both in Taylor and then my mom went out and bought the same one. I have to say that I love it!!! My daughter is in the 20-25% percentile so I want her rear facing for as long as possible and I can do this with this seat located in the middle of the back seat. She adjusted to this seat so easily from her infant seat and has no problems falling asleep in it either. If your looking for a car seat that has top saftey ratings, is easy to install, has a fantastic design, and has subtle clean line fabrics than look no further. My only advice is this, if your child is over the 50% percentile than buy the Boulevard, but if your child is under that then this would be right for you. Yes it is a bit pricey, but if ever there was a place to spend money it's here!! This is one place where skimping could be costly!!

5Great for small cars - lives up to description  Oct 06, 2007
By First time mother
We have a small car, and ordered this based on descriptions that it would be a smaller Britax that would fit in smaller cars. The car the seat is installed in is a Saab 92-X (wagon), which is built off the Subaru Impreza, and we have learned from several online car seat sites as well as in person from car seat sales people that Subarus are a tight fit and that many car seat models cannot be safely installed in these vehicles without losing use of the front passenger seat. We were able to fit this seat in rear-facing on a passenger side very nicely (seat works rear-facing to 35 lbs, up to 40 lbs front facing). If you are not inclined to change your vehicle -- and possibly give up use of your front passenger seat -- just because a car seat cannot be properly/safely installed, look into this seat! Disclaimer: We have not yet had the seat installation inspected by a traind car seat installation expert (such as local police), but I can tell based on how this seat compares with our previous one that it will be a good fit even if we need to tweak the installation for added safety.

5what a wonderful seat  Jan 06, 2008
By Candy M. Taylor "Candybutt07"
I couldn't be happier with my purchase of this carseat. I love everything about it from the fabric, to the styling, to the fit in the car. This carseat had by far one of the best designs in latch buckles and in harness adjustment. Plus the added safety of the side impact eased my mind. I know it costs a lot but those coupons you earn can help out. It was a perfect fit for my 9 month old that grew out of her carrier carseat (big girl). To top it off it arrived a month earlier than expected...which was awesome because I don't think my daughter would've made it much longer in her old seat.

4Great seat, strap trouble  Jul 04, 2008
By Super mamabug
Overall great seat, easy to install, very cute. However the straps are constantly getting twisted and I miss the hugs. I wish there was a hybrid between the diplomat and the roundabout. I want side impact w/ hugs. Oh well. I'm glad I got it and would recommend it.

The Importance Of Lighting In Interior Design

   by Jessica Ackerman

Everyone knows how important paint color, furniture choices and artwork are to interior design. One aspect of design that is often overlooked, however, is lighting. Lighting not only affects the brightness of the room, but it can also change the way a paint color looks, cast shadows in ways that make the room seem smaller and have an impact on the presentation of art work.

There is no light like natural light. If you are buying, building or remodeling, opt for as much natural light as possible. Oversized windows and skylights are two ways to get the most natural light. Of course, not everyone is in the position to be able to do that, so you'll have to work with what you have.

How much natural light do you get in your room? If the room in question faces north, you won't get as much natural sunlight as you would in a southern facing room. Rooms that face south get bright, natural light throughout the day. Rooms that face east will only have good natural light in the morning hours and western facing rooms will have the most light during the afternoon.

Once you are familiar with how much natural light is in each room, you'll be able to make informed choices about what additional lighting may be necessary. Keep in mind that rooms with little or no natural light will need artificial lighting - even during the day - in order to look their best. Here are some types of lighting to consider.

1. Accent Lighting

Accent lighting is perfect when you want to showcase a piece of art or a special piece of furniture or other item. Since light draws the eye, it will bring attention to the features in your room that you wish to highlight.

2. Hanging Light Features

Chandeliers and smaller hanging lamps can be beautiful as well as functional. A trip to the local home improvement store will quickly show you how overwhelming the choices can be. You'll want to select lighting that blends in with your existing décor. For example, a crystal chandelier in a country themed dining room probably isn't the best option. If you don't choose carefully, your lighting may stick out like a sore thumb and become more of an eyesore than a lovely accent.

3. Recessed Lighting

Recessed lighting is a good choice for a room that needs extra light throughout the day. Because the lighting won't interfere with the existing decor, it can work in almost any room. It provides abundant light without taking up a lot of space or interfering with other aspects of the room.

4. Lamps

Using lamps are a way to add not only additional lighting, but also punches of color. If possible, see how much light the lamp gives off before leaving the store. Many lamps serve as decoration more than as a light source and give off very little light. If you love the lamp, but it doesn't give off quite enough light, consider changing the shade which will usually solve the problem.

When decorating your home, remember how important lighting is, and give it the same thought and attention you give to the other details of decorating your home.
