4Fantastic value - gorgeous timepiece  Feb 22, 2004

This is a beautiful watch for a great value. Gorgeous bracelet, and deep blue faceplate. Crystal is nice and flat, reducing glare.
Feedback from chrono buttons nice and solid.

Minor qualms;
Topring does not rotate.
Chronograph only measures down to seconds - not 1/10 or 1/20 sec.

Bottom line - makes a great everyday sport watch, and looks great with any dress-type. Value is unbeatable.

5Gorgeous Versatile Watch, Fantastic Value  Apr 16, 2007
By Corey Pham
I was looking for a watch that I could wear casually anytime and anywhere. I was not into all the complicated and cluttered watches. I also did not want something that looked too young, but at the same time, I didn't want to wear an extremley expensive watch and then be worried about breaking it.

I found everything I wanted in this watch. I recieved it as a gift from my father and have worn it everyday since. The watch is simply gorgeous and well organized. It keeps perfect time and the date is a great reminder too. This watch is fashionable and can be worn running from class to class, spending a day at the office, spending a night out on the town with friends, and even worn to fancy occasions like weddings.

The blue dial is actually a lot darker than in the picture, same can be said about the chain, but it still looks bold and classy. People will think you spent a fortune on this watch by how it looks, but its true value is unbeatable.

Considering you are paying for a Citizen that looks great, can be worn anywhere, and is super affordable, there is no reason to not own this watch. This would also make a great gift to a husband, boyfriend, or anyone who wants a fine looking, multi-purpose watch to add to their collection.

2Beautiful and reliable -- except for the bracelet!  Jun 12, 2008
By Roberto Lebron "Author of Raising Children on Planet Earth"
You can read my original review below. Unfortunately, during the past year I have had to replace the pins that attach the watch to the bracelet no fewer than ten times! This is clearly a design flaw. It's too bad, because I love the look of the watch and it works perfectly, but if it won't stay on your wrist, it can't really be called a wristwatch, can it? Stay away from this one.

Original review:

This is an excellent all-around watch. Elegant enough for the boardroom or that special evening out, and practical enough to take snorkeling or skiing. The luminous hands and hour markers are bright in the dark and the numbers on the chronograph dials are easy to read. The satin-finish bracelet strikes just the right balance visually and the whole watch feels substantial and well made. As for the price, let me say this: I took the watch to a local watch store to have the bracelet adjusted, because I'm too lazy to buy the tool and do it myself. The owner asked me where I had bought the watch and how much I had paid for it. When I told him, the poor man grimaced! Plus the watch arrived earlier than I expected! A great buy.

3Too big for small wrists  Sep 04, 2011
By Bunny
I bought this watch as a gift for my fiance. It is stylish, nicely weighted, and elegant. Unfortunatly the face is big enough, and the band inflexible enough, that for small wrists, there is a large gap between the watch and the arm at the junction between the face and band, making it look and feel clunky. Had to return it.

3Nice design - cheaply built  May 23, 2011
By hoellero
I bought this watch as a cheap look alike to my Tag Heuer for day to day abuse. Indeed it looks very nice and would go through as a much more expensive watch on first sight. The blue color of the face is beautiful, the bezel doesn't turn though. It's a feature I never use anyway. The crown is not screw down. You just push it in. I wonder how water resistant it is going to be long term. The pin, that holds the bracelet is way too weak though. One evening, only about 2 weeks after I got the watch, the whole thing just fell on the floor out of nowhere. I had not even stressed the watch. I read about this weakness in several other reviews and can confirm it. So far I didn't put in a claim, so I'll see how that goes. Overall a very nice, more expensive looking watch with some flaws. At less than $120 it seems okay.

The Importance Of Lighting In Interior Design

   by Jessica Ackerman

Everyone knows how important paint color, furniture choices and artwork are to interior design. One aspect of design that is often overlooked, however, is lighting. Lighting not only affects the brightness of the room, but it can also change the way a paint color looks, cast shadows in ways that make the room seem smaller and have an impact on the presentation of art work.

There is no light like natural light. If you are buying, building or remodeling, opt for as much natural light as possible. Oversized windows and skylights are two ways to get the most natural light. Of course, not everyone is in the position to be able to do that, so you'll have to work with what you have.

How much natural light do you get in your room? If the room in question faces north, you won't get as much natural sunlight as you would in a southern facing room. Rooms that face south get bright, natural light throughout the day. Rooms that face east will only have good natural light in the morning hours and western facing rooms will have the most light during the afternoon.

Once you are familiar with how much natural light is in each room, you'll be able to make informed choices about what additional lighting may be necessary. Keep in mind that rooms with little or no natural light will need artificial lighting - even during the day - in order to look their best. Here are some types of lighting to consider.

1. Accent Lighting

Accent lighting is perfect when you want to showcase a piece of art or a special piece of furniture or other item. Since light draws the eye, it will bring attention to the features in your room that you wish to highlight.

2. Hanging Light Features

Chandeliers and smaller hanging lamps can be beautiful as well as functional. A trip to the local home improvement store will quickly show you how overwhelming the choices can be. You'll want to select lighting that blends in with your existing décor. For example, a crystal chandelier in a country themed dining room probably isn't the best option. If you don't choose carefully, your lighting may stick out like a sore thumb and become more of an eyesore than a lovely accent.

3. Recessed Lighting

Recessed lighting is a good choice for a room that needs extra light throughout the day. Because the lighting won't interfere with the existing decor, it can work in almost any room. It provides abundant light without taking up a lot of space or interfering with other aspects of the room.

4. Lamps

Using lamps are a way to add not only additional lighting, but also punches of color. If possible, see how much light the lamp gives off before leaving the store. Many lamps serve as decoration more than as a light source and give off very little light. If you love the lamp, but it doesn't give off quite enough light, consider changing the shade which will usually solve the problem.

When decorating your home, remember how important lighting is, and give it the same thought and attention you give to the other details of decorating your home.
