4Better Then The Others  Apr 27, 2007
By CB
I've bought every Disney Mania that has been released. I really liked the first Disney Mania, but two, three, and four I was slightly dissapointed with. This one is arguably the best one. The only song I did not enjoy was the Second Star to the Right. My favorites were; Part of Your World, When She Loved Me, Colors of the Wind, Go the Distance, Reflection, and Let's Get Together.

4Disneymania Review  Apr 26, 2007

I listened to the whole CD online so I could listen to it without wasting any money. Let us begin shall we?

1. Miley Cyrus - Part of Your World, it was an okay song but a bit too rockish for me. I didn't really like the "What do ya call them?" part cause it was just...annoying. (3.5/5)

2. Corbin Bleu - Two Worlds, I don't really listen to Corbin Bleu much, but this was a very good remake of Two Worlds. I love Phil Collins songs and I'm glad Corbin did a good job on this. (4.5/5)

3. The Cheetah Girls - So This is Love, the Cheetah Girls do it again! Make another song that going on Billboards no doubt. I especially love the additional lyrics and the Spanish parts as well. Another success for The Cheetah Girls. (5/5)

4. I Wanna Be Like You - Jonas Brothers, this is a fun song for kids to dance to. Unlike "Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life)", this was better. Almost like Smash Mouth but I like it anyway. (4.5/5)

5. When She Loved Me - Jordan Pruitt, the best out of all the female vocals in this CD! I don't get why other people don't like her. Aside from that, this song is emotional, nice, and great for a modern day lullaby. (5/5)

6. Kiss the Girl - Ashley Tisdale, I sure we all have listened to this one. But I still like it too! It's up-beat, more pop/rock, and another song to dance to. (4.5/5)

7. The Second Star to the Right - T-Squad, apperantly I didn't like this song. The "Twinkle, Twinkle little star" rap was just horrible. A song we maybe want to skip. (1.5/5)

8. Cruella De Vil - Hayden Panettiere, almost like Lalaine's version but more with a pop flavor in it. Not the song I would listen to over and over again but I don't hate it. (3/5)

9. Colors of the Wind - Vanessa Hudgens, a very good song indeed by one of my favorite artists! She tried not to make it too R&B and that's good! Her vocals are excellent as well. (5/5)

10. Go the Distance - Lucas Grabeel, the best song out of all the male vocals, but apperantlly the entire CD! Very emotional, warm, and melodic. This song was done once on the previous Disneymania (4) but I didn't like it so much. But this version is the best! Especially when you're going to make an AMV on YouTube! Forget entire cd, it's best out of all Disneymania songs! (10/5)

11. Siamese Cat Song - B5, I don't like this song at all. Too hip-hop. The Second Star to The Right was better. (0/5)

12. Reflection - Everlife, A very great song! More up-beat than ballad. Everlife took it rather well like Disneymania 3 and 4! Like the Cheetah Girls, another success for Everlife! (5/5)

13. Let's Get Together - The Go-Go's, This song is a good song. Especially if your parents want to maybe steal the CD from you so that they can listen to "their" generation of The Veronicas. (4/5)

14. True to Your Heart - Keke Palmer, she's a very good singer and has talent. Almost a bit like Raven's version. (4/5)

15. Find Yourself - Drew Seeley, I never really heard this song before but it's from "Cars". (You can tell from the lyrics) He's a very talented singer. That's all I can say. But it's a nice song! (4.5/5)

3Not so fresh anymore!  May 14, 2007
By J. Cummings "jimfrog"
After four previous volumes, Disney is starting to repeat itself! Despite such a fantastic and diverse songbook, I was disappointed to find so many of the songs on volume five have already been covered on the previous Disneymania albums. The series is a great concept, but it really has lost vision and umph with this latest release!

4This CD was very good  May 12, 2007

Above all I think this CD was very good.I liked most of the songs. The only one I realy didn't like was Part Of Your World by Miley Cyrus. To put it simply,in my opinion, it was the worst song in the whole CD.Find Yourself by Drew Seely was alright; Second Star To The Right by T-Squad was OK;True To Your Heart by Keke Palmer was good;I liked Colors of The Wind by Vanessa Hudgens;I realy liked Kiss The Girl by Ashely Tisdale

(boy, that woman really rocks!); Too Worlds by Corbin Bleu rocked, my second favorite;and, ofcourse,Go The Distance by Lucas Grabeel taking first place.

1Disney is rolling in his grave!  Apr 13, 2007
By S. Berg "Suzie B"
This album is a disgrace to Disney music. The only 2 songs on this CD worth listening to are Corbin Bleu's Two Worlds and Lucas Grabeel's Go the Distance. The rest of the tracks are so far removed from the original classics that they're barely recognizable. This music was NOT written as edgy rock and shouldn't be sung that way. All the magic from these pieces is lost in these "modern" versions. I have the first two Disneymania CDs, and those were good, but they've gotten progressively worse and they just repeat all the same songs from the previous discs. Every new artist's version of a song sounds exactly like the one that came before them.

(and no, I'm not some 54 year old baby boomer who only goes in for classical music. I'm a 21 year old college student who loves her classic Disney)

The Importance Of Lighting In Interior Design

   by Jessica Ackerman

Everyone knows how important paint color, furniture choices and artwork are to interior design. One aspect of design that is often overlooked, however, is lighting. Lighting not only affects the brightness of the room, but it can also change the way a paint color looks, cast shadows in ways that make the room seem smaller and have an impact on the presentation of art work.

There is no light like natural light. If you are buying, building or remodeling, opt for as much natural light as possible. Oversized windows and skylights are two ways to get the most natural light. Of course, not everyone is in the position to be able to do that, so you'll have to work with what you have.

How much natural light do you get in your room? If the room in question faces north, you won't get as much natural sunlight as you would in a southern facing room. Rooms that face south get bright, natural light throughout the day. Rooms that face east will only have good natural light in the morning hours and western facing rooms will have the most light during the afternoon.

Once you are familiar with how much natural light is in each room, you'll be able to make informed choices about what additional lighting may be necessary. Keep in mind that rooms with little or no natural light will need artificial lighting - even during the day - in order to look their best. Here are some types of lighting to consider.

1. Accent Lighting

Accent lighting is perfect when you want to showcase a piece of art or a special piece of furniture or other item. Since light draws the eye, it will bring attention to the features in your room that you wish to highlight.

2. Hanging Light Features

Chandeliers and smaller hanging lamps can be beautiful as well as functional. A trip to the local home improvement store will quickly show you how overwhelming the choices can be. You'll want to select lighting that blends in with your existing décor. For example, a crystal chandelier in a country themed dining room probably isn't the best option. If you don't choose carefully, your lighting may stick out like a sore thumb and become more of an eyesore than a lovely accent.

3. Recessed Lighting

Recessed lighting is a good choice for a room that needs extra light throughout the day. Because the lighting won't interfere with the existing decor, it can work in almost any room. It provides abundant light without taking up a lot of space or interfering with other aspects of the room.

4. Lamps

Using lamps are a way to add not only additional lighting, but also punches of color. If possible, see how much light the lamp gives off before leaving the store. Many lamps serve as decoration more than as a light source and give off very little light. If you love the lamp, but it doesn't give off quite enough light, consider changing the shade which will usually solve the problem.

When decorating your home, remember how important lighting is, and give it the same thought and attention you give to the other details of decorating your home.
