5Great chair  Jul 07, 2008
By 2 boys' Mom
We recieved this chair two weeks ago and our 3 month old son loves it. He will not take naps in his crib, so we had to get him something to sleep in (other than in my arms). He LOVES sleeping in his chair (as well as just sitting in it watching his big brother). The music is very soothing...lullabies with an Asian twist. Plus some nature sounds that include hearbeat sounds. Plus, it has a volume control. Also, the vibration option for the chair is a lot smoother than other chairs we have had. I don't mind turning it on with this chair...no way with our old Graco bouncy seat. The chair is easy to fold up and carry (very lightweight), so you can carry the chair in one hand and the baby in your other arm. Note: this is not a bouncy seat.

3Looks great, but doesn't do much  Feb 03, 2011
By Lauren Carly Fay
I bought this chair for my daughter. She has used it since she was first born. She is now six months old and will still stay in the chair for a while.

Pros: The chair looks great! This is what attracted me to the chair in the first place. It's not an eye sore like most other baby products. I like the sounds and the vibrations are very smooth and quiet so that's also nice. It is lightweight, easy to clean and not so big that it gets in the way all the time.

Cons: the little dragonfly that dangles above doesn't do anything! I often have to place other toys in the chair with the baby so she is entertained. I wish that it at least moved. My baby hardly looks at it. It sucks batteries pretty quickly. Another comment mentioned forgetting to turn it off because it is so quiet and that is true. I have accidentally left it on so many times that by the time my daughter was a few weeks old the batteries were already dead. I wish it had a timer or something to turn it off. Also, the arm that holds the dragonfly falls out easily. I usually have the baby in one hand and have to move this with the other so sometimes the arm falls out when I am moving it around.

I am 50/50 on whether or not I'd buy this again had I known what I know now. Overall, I am pleased with it, I just need to supplement with other toys.

Great seat! My 5 week old has loved this infant seat since we brought her home from the hospital. The vibrating feature is great to calm her down and she also loves the music. Plus, it looks great in our home. I strongly recommend this seat!

5Best Bouncer EVER!!!  Mar 17, 2011
By brin-d
I have had 4 bouncers and hated that my sons head would flop around cause they didn't recline. This is the perfect bouncer it reclines so your baby is comfortable and vibrates an plays soothing music. I have read other reviews about the entertainment and I disagree completely it is HEAVENLY! I am a very expensive woman and have expensive taste this is my favorite piece of furniture. You wont go wrong with this I paid over 300 for a bouncer an perfer this one 10 times more.

5perfect in every way  Jan 19, 2009
By Karen Carradine
As the grandmother who wanted to provide a comfortable seat for my 1st grandchild while the parents visited;I purchased the Fisher-Price Zen Infant Seat. I found this item to be perfect in every way. It was easy to put together, light weight but sturdy, and looks better than the pictures present. It's also oversized which was really a must since my grandson was a BIG baby (10 lbs). We bought a different seat at first, but he took up all the space with no growing room. This item gives him room to grow. Too many other bells and whistles to list.

The Importance Of Lighting In Interior Design

   by Jessica Ackerman

Everyone knows how important paint color, furniture choices and artwork are to interior design. One aspect of design that is often overlooked, however, is lighting. Lighting not only affects the brightness of the room, but it can also change the way a paint color looks, cast shadows in ways that make the room seem smaller and have an impact on the presentation of art work.

There is no light like natural light. If you are buying, building or remodeling, opt for as much natural light as possible. Oversized windows and skylights are two ways to get the most natural light. Of course, not everyone is in the position to be able to do that, so you'll have to work with what you have.

How much natural light do you get in your room? If the room in question faces north, you won't get as much natural sunlight as you would in a southern facing room. Rooms that face south get bright, natural light throughout the day. Rooms that face east will only have good natural light in the morning hours and western facing rooms will have the most light during the afternoon.

Once you are familiar with how much natural light is in each room, you'll be able to make informed choices about what additional lighting may be necessary. Keep in mind that rooms with little or no natural light will need artificial lighting - even during the day - in order to look their best. Here are some types of lighting to consider.

1. Accent Lighting

Accent lighting is perfect when you want to showcase a piece of art or a special piece of furniture or other item. Since light draws the eye, it will bring attention to the features in your room that you wish to highlight.

2. Hanging Light Features

Chandeliers and smaller hanging lamps can be beautiful as well as functional. A trip to the local home improvement store will quickly show you how overwhelming the choices can be. You'll want to select lighting that blends in with your existing décor. For example, a crystal chandelier in a country themed dining room probably isn't the best option. If you don't choose carefully, your lighting may stick out like a sore thumb and become more of an eyesore than a lovely accent.

3. Recessed Lighting

Recessed lighting is a good choice for a room that needs extra light throughout the day. Because the lighting won't interfere with the existing decor, it can work in almost any room. It provides abundant light without taking up a lot of space or interfering with other aspects of the room.

4. Lamps

Using lamps are a way to add not only additional lighting, but also punches of color. If possible, see how much light the lamp gives off before leaving the store. Many lamps serve as decoration more than as a light source and give off very little light. If you love the lamp, but it doesn't give off quite enough light, consider changing the shade which will usually solve the problem.

When decorating your home, remember how important lighting is, and give it the same thought and attention you give to the other details of decorating your home.
