5A Must Have for Any Piercing  Apr 27, 2010
By Jen A. V.
From the perspective of a very experienced piercee: My only experience with this product has been on my piercings. Years ago when my best friend and I got our navels pierced, this was the product that the tattoo parlor sold to clean our new piercings. Neither of us had ever used it before so we were not sure what to expect. I cannot tell you how much of an impact it played on the healing process. Our navels were healed months earlier than the estimated healing time period (8 months - 1 year I was told when I got it done) and we have never had a problem with our navels whatsoever. It is so sanitary because it is in a concealed can and very easy to use. We had friends with navel piercings whose navels were red and sore for weeks, but the soreness and redness for us diminished within seven to ten days.

When I got my cartilage done on both sides of my upper ears, the place (a different one) did not have H2Ocean and I thus used a different cleanser that I had used once before with minimal problems. One ear was okay, but the other ear was not (it ended up being because the piercer did not give enough room between the backing of the earring and my ear for normal swelling). Days after being pierced, it was hot to the touch, extremely swollen, abnormally painful, I had a low grade fever, and the next step was for my ear to secrete infected discharge. It was the weekend so I planned on going to the doctor that Monday, but in the meantime ran out and purchased H2Ocean after remembering my great experience with my navel hoping it would make things a little better. It did more than that. After one application, it immediately cooled my bad ear and by the end of the day the ear was less red, was cool to the touch, and the swelling went down almost completely. Twenty-four hours later, there was absolutely no swelling, pain, or redness and it looked like my other non-problematic ear. However, I even noticed a difference in that one! It showed actual signs of good healing and loosened normal discharge (the clear, pale yellow kind) that had solidified unlike the cheaper cleaner. Best of all with this experience with my cartilage, I did not need to go to my doctor after all!

DISCLAIMER: While I highly recommend this product due to its ability to heal piercings successfully, prevent/rid infections and keloids, and believe that it is the best cleaner for piercings on the market, there are couple of things people need to remember about piercings. Never clean more than directed - your body needs to take part in the healing process as well. Sometimes no matter which cleaner you use whether it be H2Ocean or something else, sometimes your body is more prone to reject piercings more than others, especially if you have a compromised immune system. Also, sometimes your body rejects the piercings no matter what you use due to sensitivity/allergy to the type of metal used in your piercing. If you are not sure whether or not this cleaner is helping to clear up your infection (or you are really uncertain if you even have an infection or not), do NOT remove the jewelry (it will close up and seal in the infection, winning you a possible stay in the hospital with an IV drip) and consult an experienced piercer and a physician immediately. If your infection is really advanced (please never let it get to that point), H2O Ocean may not be able to clear it up all by itself - it's a phenomenal cleaner, not an antibiotic.

5No more antibiotics!  Aug 15, 2006
By Lacey Patterson
Two years after I had my cartilage pierced it was STILL red & swollen with an ugly bump that wouldn't go away! I finally asked my doctor what to do; he gave me an antibiotic ointment. That made it worse!! My friend suggested H2Ocean. After 3 DAYS my ear was completely healed! No more bump, no more swelling. I love this product and recommend it to everyone. I probably don't even need it anymore but I still use it once a week, just because it feels good.

Oh! It also helps get rid of acne! I read that in an amazon review, so I tried it and it works!!

5The great reviews stand up  Aug 31, 2006
By K. McCain
Based on the other reviews I bought this stuff because my 7-week old nose piercing would get red from wearing makeup and sweating when working out. I also have a puppy who likes to lick my face/nose when I'm asleep so keeping my piercing clean is difficult at times. I got this in the mail today and within minutes the redness went away and my nose feels so much better! This is the best alternative to [trying to] soak your nose with a sea-salt solution and a washcloth. I would definitely keep this stuff around even if your piercing has already healed just to keep the area clean.

5The BEST Piercing Aftercare-- Without a Doubt!!  May 30, 2009
By aurora432
I have 14 piercings, and I swear by H2Ocean! I recommend this product to everyone I know-- it's sterile, pH-balanced, won't irritate piercings, is very convenient to carry in your purse/ etc, and is simple to use.

My directions: Spray your piercing with H2Ocean at least 4 times a day to sterilize and moisturize the area as long as your piercing is healing. When in the shower, wash your piercing with unscented, pH-balanced, anti-bacterial soap.
Never touch your piercing with dirty hands, never let anyone else touch your piercing with dirty hands/ etc, and don't be unhygienic in any way!

If you already have a piercing that is red, swollen, beginning to keloid-- stop what you a currently doing and begin this regimine! Soak a cotton ball in H2Ocean and hold it on the piercing for about 8 minutes-- this will make a huge difference!

This product is amazing! Get it, and you won't be sorry!!

xoxo
Aurora

5H2Ocean REALLY works  Jun 09, 2005
By alfafemme "alfafemme"
I bought H2Ocean on a whim, having recently gotten a cartilage piercing. I'd been using Provon to clean the piercing 2 times a day and doing the warm salt water soaks, etc. It was red and sore. The very first time I sprayed the H2Ocean on it the redness went down and the irritation and pain decreased to almost nothing. I found it to be well worth the money.

The Importance Of Lighting In Interior Design

   by Jessica Ackerman

Everyone knows how important paint color, furniture choices and artwork are to interior design. One aspect of design that is often overlooked, however, is lighting. Lighting not only affects the brightness of the room, but it can also change the way a paint color looks, cast shadows in ways that make the room seem smaller and have an impact on the presentation of art work.

There is no light like natural light. If you are buying, building or remodeling, opt for as much natural light as possible. Oversized windows and skylights are two ways to get the most natural light. Of course, not everyone is in the position to be able to do that, so you'll have to work with what you have.

How much natural light do you get in your room? If the room in question faces north, you won't get as much natural sunlight as you would in a southern facing room. Rooms that face south get bright, natural light throughout the day. Rooms that face east will only have good natural light in the morning hours and western facing rooms will have the most light during the afternoon.

Once you are familiar with how much natural light is in each room, you'll be able to make informed choices about what additional lighting may be necessary. Keep in mind that rooms with little or no natural light will need artificial lighting - even during the day - in order to look their best. Here are some types of lighting to consider.

1. Accent Lighting

Accent lighting is perfect when you want to showcase a piece of art or a special piece of furniture or other item. Since light draws the eye, it will bring attention to the features in your room that you wish to highlight.

2. Hanging Light Features

Chandeliers and smaller hanging lamps can be beautiful as well as functional. A trip to the local home improvement store will quickly show you how overwhelming the choices can be. You'll want to select lighting that blends in with your existing décor. For example, a crystal chandelier in a country themed dining room probably isn't the best option. If you don't choose carefully, your lighting may stick out like a sore thumb and become more of an eyesore than a lovely accent.

3. Recessed Lighting

Recessed lighting is a good choice for a room that needs extra light throughout the day. Because the lighting won't interfere with the existing decor, it can work in almost any room. It provides abundant light without taking up a lot of space or interfering with other aspects of the room.

4. Lamps

Using lamps are a way to add not only additional lighting, but also punches of color. If possible, see how much light the lamp gives off before leaving the store. Many lamps serve as decoration more than as a light source and give off very little light. If you love the lamp, but it doesn't give off quite enough light, consider changing the shade which will usually solve the problem.

When decorating your home, remember how important lighting is, and give it the same thought and attention you give to the other details of decorating your home.
