3Buggy Bagg is Better  Jul 03, 2007
By M. Brown
I bought this Infantino Savvy Seat shopping cart cover for our 2nd car, so I wouldn't be constantly moving our cart cover from 1 vehicle to the other. I already have a Buggy Bagg, but was looking for something a little more affordable this time around. I was so excited when I found this product because I think it is relatively new to the market as I don't remember seeing it when I was looking last year. (And trust me, I've looked at A LOT of shopping cart covers!) Based on the photos & description, I thought the Savvy Seat was going to be pretty comparable to the Buggy Bagg since it has several pockets, it's own seat belt, & loops for toys, but I must admit that I was a little disappointed. First of all the colors aren't true to the photo. I was expecing green, brown, & BLUE, but the blue is actually a purple or lavender. Secondly the seat belt that you fasten around your baby's waist must 1st be threaded through the back rungs on the shopping cart & can then be pulled through by a busy toddler even after it's fastened. So technically the belt that's in contact with your child may have also been in contact with the cart. That defeats the whole purpose. Plus the belt is not attached, & could be easily lost if you're not careful. Lastly, the pockets aren't really big enough for much other than maybe a cell phone or small toys. Not much room for diapers, wipes or a changing pad. I gave it 3 stars because I do think this cover is probably better than a lot of covers on the market. Other than the issue with the belt, it does seem like it would cover most of the cart that your child would come in contact with & even has velcro to help secure it. If you can't afford a Buggy Bagg try this cover, but if you want THE BEST cover on the market invest in a Buggy Bagg. I think I'm going to return this one & just continue to move my Buggy Bagg back & forth from 1 vehicle to the other

4Great Product!  Sep 08, 2007
By C. Knoles
I looked at a lot of cart covers before purchasing this one, I wanted something that was somewhat gender-neutral in case we have a boy next time. The colors are a little brighter than shown in the photo, and the bluish color is more purple, but my husband said he wouldn't be embarrassed to have a boy in it, so I guess it would work for either a boy or girl!

The only reason I didn't give this five stars is that when I washed it for the first time, some of the stuffing inside shifted and made it sort of lumpy. I didn't dry it at all, and washed it per the instructions. Also, the carrying bag that it comes with is very cute, but it is pretty tough to get the cover to fold all the way back up and fit in the bag. I usually just throw the cover in the back of the car without putting it in the bag.

I love how this product covers all of the shopping cart, and the loops for toys are great. I would definitely recommend this, just be careful when washing!

5ICO Shopping Cart Cover Candy Paisley  Mar 16, 2007
By Tarah Jarvis "TJ"
Very cute print for my daughter but would really work for a boy as well. More importantly, much better coverage and more comfortable for her than the bargain brand I tried originally. This one also folds neatly into an attached bag. She loves the toys that were attached, but with velcro can also attach her favorites. I liked this one so much, I sent a different print to my best friend for her son.

5LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this seat cover!!!!!  Mar 20, 2008
By C. Gallagher
We've had this seat cover for about 3 months and have used it a lot. It fits in small shopping carts as well as the huge warehouse store carts. It also fits just fine in restaurant high chairs, though it does hang over the edges, but that doean't bother us.

The design is wonderful. There's an elastic back "pocket" that sits over the back of the cart seat, and elastic all around the front that secures it to the cart handle. The sides have velcro so you can secure them to the edges of the cart if you want to (we don't bother half the time). Theres also a belt that you can fish out and through the cart and around your child's waist. That's the only thing I would change. If they could sew the belt to the cover and put a clasp on the belt in the back and front, then we wouldn't have to fish it through the hole every time we put it in and out of the cart.

There are loops to hang your own toys, and it does come with 2 cheapie toys already attached but removable. The carry bag is great. It's simple to stuff the cover into the bag, I never have any trouble with that and find there's even enough room for a few extra toys. You can keep the bag zipped to the back of the cover or you can remove it.

I agree that the colors don't look like the picture. It's the same pattern, but the green is definitely more of a lime green and the peachy colors are much more subtle. The picture makes it look more feminine than it is. The nice thing is that it works well for a girl or a boy so we can use it again for our second child regardless if we have a boy.

We just LOVE this cover!!! VERY pleased!

5Great buy!  Oct 10, 2007
By M. Fisher
I love this product, as does my son. He is my second child. With my daughter (first child), I was able to watch and distract her from toughing and biting on the shopping carts. Often, I would take her in a front/backpack so that I did not have to worry about it. My son has grown faster than my daughter, which I did not think was possible, but he was wearing 10mos clothes at the end of his 4th month. I do carry him some in the backpack, but there are many times that I wanted to place him in the shopping cart. Now I can! And my daughter likes to push the cart and is a huge distraction anyway so I was not able to watch him as closely as I did with her.

The seat has a little cushion to it which has been nice since I got it before my son was sitting unassisted very well. Plus, with my daughter's cart driving ... Let's just say it is nice to have a little extra cushion. There are 4 loops for toys to be attached. I always try to shove the thing in the bag so that the toys are on top in case I want to grab them off for another time or switch out the toys. I cannot tell you how many shopping cart handles we have avoided sucking and chewing on with this item. The seat is attached to its bag via zipper so it can always be detached; however, it is nice that they do attach - keeps me from loosing the bag.

Using the seat in high chairs has had its ups and downs. The seat fits just fine. It is nice to have a portable belt since many of the belts on high chairs in restaurants have filthy, broken, or just plain missing belts. I have run into an issue a time or two though where there was no place to run the belt or the available place to run the belt made the belt go too far and did not reach to snap around the child. We have been able to get it to work in most situations though.

I have been able to clumsily get the seat in a shopping cart with only one hand. The most difficult thing to do single handed is attach the belt around bars of the cart and back through the small button hole in the seat. The belt works great but is just a little tedious to do holding a squirming child. The elastic is just stretchy enough allowing both the front and back pieces to fit over the cart handle and backrest. I have even been able to easily fit the seat in a double wide cart made for 2 children so it is a good size. Of course, using it for two children would not really work since there are only two leg holes.

I would highly suggest this product to anyone with a baby, espcially one larger in size so that they have outgrown the infant carseat/carrier and are riding in shopping carts at the age when they seem to chew on everything. Good luck!

The Importance Of Lighting In Interior Design

   by Jessica Ackerman

Everyone knows how important paint color, furniture choices and artwork are to interior design. One aspect of design that is often overlooked, however, is lighting. Lighting not only affects the brightness of the room, but it can also change the way a paint color looks, cast shadows in ways that make the room seem smaller and have an impact on the presentation of art work.

There is no light like natural light. If you are buying, building or remodeling, opt for as much natural light as possible. Oversized windows and skylights are two ways to get the most natural light. Of course, not everyone is in the position to be able to do that, so you'll have to work with what you have.

How much natural light do you get in your room? If the room in question faces north, you won't get as much natural sunlight as you would in a southern facing room. Rooms that face south get bright, natural light throughout the day. Rooms that face east will only have good natural light in the morning hours and western facing rooms will have the most light during the afternoon.

Once you are familiar with how much natural light is in each room, you'll be able to make informed choices about what additional lighting may be necessary. Keep in mind that rooms with little or no natural light will need artificial lighting - even during the day - in order to look their best. Here are some types of lighting to consider.

1. Accent Lighting

Accent lighting is perfect when you want to showcase a piece of art or a special piece of furniture or other item. Since light draws the eye, it will bring attention to the features in your room that you wish to highlight.

2. Hanging Light Features

Chandeliers and smaller hanging lamps can be beautiful as well as functional. A trip to the local home improvement store will quickly show you how overwhelming the choices can be. You'll want to select lighting that blends in with your existing décor. For example, a crystal chandelier in a country themed dining room probably isn't the best option. If you don't choose carefully, your lighting may stick out like a sore thumb and become more of an eyesore than a lovely accent.

3. Recessed Lighting

Recessed lighting is a good choice for a room that needs extra light throughout the day. Because the lighting won't interfere with the existing decor, it can work in almost any room. It provides abundant light without taking up a lot of space or interfering with other aspects of the room.

4. Lamps

Using lamps are a way to add not only additional lighting, but also punches of color. If possible, see how much light the lamp gives off before leaving the store. Many lamps serve as decoration more than as a light source and give off very little light. If you love the lamp, but it doesn't give off quite enough light, consider changing the shade which will usually solve the problem.

When decorating your home, remember how important lighting is, and give it the same thought and attention you give to the other details of decorating your home.
