4Great battle toy in the Star Wars lego series  Jul 01, 2008

This toy is fun when used in a battle. I to not reccomend this toy if you dont have a clone vehicle to battle against. What I do like about it is that it comes with a pack (four) of battle droids. Also it includes a spider droid. This I hated because it is extremely hard to position its legs to stand on the ground. The hail-fire droid on the other hand is capable of firing 8 "flick" missles. Do not expect this toy is a good missle launcher! It can only shoot them 4-6 inches which is not a lot. Do not buy this toy if you expect to let it sit and look at it every once in a while. Buy it if you love to battle star wars vehicles and characters.

4More Lego Fun for a 9 year old  Jan 09, 2009
By Lorriepoo "petsnstve"
Bought this for my 9 year old grandson, who adores Lego and has for years. My grandson LOVED it and was thrilled to get it as one of his Christmas presents. He had it built within a very short period of time. Because these kids get so good at assembling Lego, (and I am not sure if this is already the case) I would like to see Lego develop some kits for higher levels of expertise, and more challenging for those Lego maniacs like my grandson who can go for "zero to 60 in 3 seconds flat!" Didn't matter to him, he was happily playing with it all day. God bless Lego--it has kept kids thoroughly entertained for decades.

5Lots of fun!  Dec 03, 2008
By Lisamarie V. LiGreci "Jedi Healer"
I loved playing with LEGOs as a kid, and I love Star Wars, and so does my husband - so when my husband and I got engaged we registered for a bunch of Star Wars/Indiana Jones LEGO sets. I know it seems like a weird registry gift, but why not?

To our surprise, we actually did get quite a few LEGO sets from our friends, and I think so far this is my favorite - it has some really neat pieces and it was fun to put together. It's now on display on our DVD shelf. The missle launcher is fun too :) My husband really liked putting together the treads for the hailfire droid's wheels.

5Great set  Oct 16, 2009
By R. Aldridge
The Hailfire Droid & Spider Droid (set 7670) is a fairly amusing set. I had collected LEGOs when I was younger (being now 24) and have not purchased any new sets until just recently. I saw the mid size Millennium Falcon at walmart and that sparked my interest in LEGOs again. I wanted this set because it just looks freaking cool. I just wanted the hailfire droid. I could care less about the spider droid (I assembled it anyways). The big wheels and cool treads made the Hailfire droid very attractive to me. When I finished putting the whole thing together, I found that the large clear discs that make the wheels are securely fastened in place and do not rotate whatsoever. Well, that just won't do. I wanted it to roll. I tried simple different configurations to get the wheels to roll. One method worked a little but the outer fender would wobble loose. I decided to grind off the studs on the clear plates so that the wheels would spin freely on their axels. *NOTE* I used a motorized Dremel to shave off the studs and I used Eye protection. Power tools should never be operated without adult supervision.
After smoothing the plates down, I reassembled the set and I am very happy with it. The model rolls along as it should. The spider droid is very simple to assemble and looks funny. The set comes with four minifigs, three battle droids (one being a yellow chested Droid Commander) and one Super battle droid (which really looks dumb) The battle droids all have SE-14 Blaster pistols.
Corollary: The assembly of the wheels asks you to use 40 links to make the treads. 40 links proves too loose. 39 links works perfectly.
There are a few extra pieces left over after assembly.
This set is really nice.

3Hail Fire Droid  Jul 10, 2009

This is an okay set. It comes with a commander droid, (you can only find these in one or two other sets) spider droid and hailfire droid, and a super battle droid and two battle droids.
pros:
-commander droid
-Powerful
cons:
-boring to play with alone
-loops around the wheels is tedios

A decent set, get it to strengthen your droid army, not to play alone or model.

The Importance Of Lighting In Interior Design

   by Jessica Ackerman

Everyone knows how important paint color, furniture choices and artwork are to interior design. One aspect of design that is often overlooked, however, is lighting. Lighting not only affects the brightness of the room, but it can also change the way a paint color looks, cast shadows in ways that make the room seem smaller and have an impact on the presentation of art work.

There is no light like natural light. If you are buying, building or remodeling, opt for as much natural light as possible. Oversized windows and skylights are two ways to get the most natural light. Of course, not everyone is in the position to be able to do that, so you'll have to work with what you have.

How much natural light do you get in your room? If the room in question faces north, you won't get as much natural sunlight as you would in a southern facing room. Rooms that face south get bright, natural light throughout the day. Rooms that face east will only have good natural light in the morning hours and western facing rooms will have the most light during the afternoon.

Once you are familiar with how much natural light is in each room, you'll be able to make informed choices about what additional lighting may be necessary. Keep in mind that rooms with little or no natural light will need artificial lighting - even during the day - in order to look their best. Here are some types of lighting to consider.

1. Accent Lighting

Accent lighting is perfect when you want to showcase a piece of art or a special piece of furniture or other item. Since light draws the eye, it will bring attention to the features in your room that you wish to highlight.

2. Hanging Light Features

Chandeliers and smaller hanging lamps can be beautiful as well as functional. A trip to the local home improvement store will quickly show you how overwhelming the choices can be. You'll want to select lighting that blends in with your existing décor. For example, a crystal chandelier in a country themed dining room probably isn't the best option. If you don't choose carefully, your lighting may stick out like a sore thumb and become more of an eyesore than a lovely accent.

3. Recessed Lighting

Recessed lighting is a good choice for a room that needs extra light throughout the day. Because the lighting won't interfere with the existing decor, it can work in almost any room. It provides abundant light without taking up a lot of space or interfering with other aspects of the room.

4. Lamps

Using lamps are a way to add not only additional lighting, but also punches of color. If possible, see how much light the lamp gives off before leaving the store. Many lamps serve as decoration more than as a light source and give off very little light. If you love the lamp, but it doesn't give off quite enough light, consider changing the shade which will usually solve the problem.

When decorating your home, remember how important lighting is, and give it the same thought and attention you give to the other details of decorating your home.
