1Extremely Poor Quality - Manufactuer Lies  Aug 01, 2008
By J. Clark
The manufacturer's website claims that this is made in the US or Europe. It is not. It is made in China, the box says Made in China and there is a heinous sticker on the back that also "proudly" announces its Chinese heritage. The total lack of quality shows at every stage: from unboxing to assembling to using it. The hardware is of especially low quality. The hex bolts are so poorly made that it is impossible to fully insert a hex wrench to tighten them. Not to mention that the included hex wrench does not even fit half of the included bolts. As an additional "bonus" mine came with a sheet of paper that says "instructions on other side", the other side of the paper is blank. Had I been tasked with making the instructions I would have printed the same "instructions on other side" message on both sides.

I can only recommend that you do not waste your money on this junk.

For the interested here is the quote from the front page of the manufacturer's website:

"Safety, innovation and high quality are features of all PRIMO baby products designed and manufactured in Europe or the USA!"

1DO NOT BUY THIS CHAIR - IT BROKE AND MY BABY FELL ON THE GROUND.  Mar 05, 2009
By E. Huffman
PLEASE do not put your child in this chair EVER. We recently visited a very nice restaurant who used these high chairs - I'd never seen one in my life and thought it looked nice and sturdy. About halfway through our meal, the seat of the high chair fell out and our 7 month old BABY fell smack on the floor, hitting his head. It was a terrible freak accident. We are having to keep our eye on him to make sure he is okay.
Do not - PLEASE - do not risk it.
If I could give it zero stars, I would.

1Nice idea in theory - terrible in reality  Sep 04, 2008
By J. P. Wilton
I was excited to get this chair so my toddler could sit at the table with us. I was hoping it was worth the investment to get something that would grow with him. We have had nothing but trouble with this chair, however, from trying to assemble it to the actual use. Whoever designed this must not have children because it is virtually impossible to get our son in and out of it with the (permanent) position of the wooden bar - it is such an ordeal that it is effecting his desire to eat his meals if he has to get in this contraption. If he were to choke while eating, I fear I wouldn't be able to get him out of the chair quickly enough. The overall quality of the chair is also extremely poor, from the leather strap, which came cracked and worn through on one side, to the screws which were stripped after such trial-and-error assembly (our instructions said detailed directions were on the reverse - which was blank!). The chair is wobbly when assembled and the seat and foot platforms cannot be adjusted without taking the whole thing apart each time. The web description makes one think this chair is made in the US or Europe, but the box and chair were clearly labeled "made in China" - which is exactly what I was hoping to avoid. We are so disappointed with this purchase and I would definitely suggest going with a different brand.

1DANGEROUS! PLEASE DON'T PUT YOUR BABY IN ONE!  Aug 05, 2010
By danicat "felixbooks"
Received it at my baby shower. I have been using it for about a month every day now. The first time the seat came out and my kid was hanging on for dear life, I thought it was a freak accident and couldn't figure out how it happened. The second time, I saw exactly how it happened.

First of all, this thing is super-wobbly. Second, my child can easily twist all the way around and get one of his legs out the hole in the back--the chair doesn't keep him facing forward. Third, AND HERE'S WHERE IT'S GOING TO KILL SOMEONE'S CHILD, the piece of wood that the kid sits on--my kid was strong enough (at 7 months old) to kick his legs back while sitting on it and the seat flew backwards out of the slat and was dangling by the velcro black strap that goes between his legs. My child was also dangling--from the wooden bar that's in front--screaming and crying. Had he not been holding onto that bar, he would have fallen through the hole and hit the ground possibly cracking his head open or just breaking his neck as he went through the hole.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS DANGEROUS PRODUCT!!!!!!

5does the job and looks great!  Nov 26, 2007
By engineer mom
Great chair for the price.
The wood is nice to look at and feel. My six month old fits great in it (on the third rung down) and appears very secure.

Considering I bought this (including shipping!) for under half what a Stokke Tripp Trapp plus accessories would have run us, it is an excellent deal. The quality may be a bit lacking, but I can turn my head to the fact that I needed to wedge a few pieces of paper into the slot to secure the upper seat (was very secure until we switched foot platform locations, to be close to the black bar).

I would buy it again!

The Importance Of Lighting In Interior Design

   by Jessica Ackerman

Everyone knows how important paint color, furniture choices and artwork are to interior design. One aspect of design that is often overlooked, however, is lighting. Lighting not only affects the brightness of the room, but it can also change the way a paint color looks, cast shadows in ways that make the room seem smaller and have an impact on the presentation of art work.

There is no light like natural light. If you are buying, building or remodeling, opt for as much natural light as possible. Oversized windows and skylights are two ways to get the most natural light. Of course, not everyone is in the position to be able to do that, so you'll have to work with what you have.

How much natural light do you get in your room? If the room in question faces north, you won't get as much natural sunlight as you would in a southern facing room. Rooms that face south get bright, natural light throughout the day. Rooms that face east will only have good natural light in the morning hours and western facing rooms will have the most light during the afternoon.

Once you are familiar with how much natural light is in each room, you'll be able to make informed choices about what additional lighting may be necessary. Keep in mind that rooms with little or no natural light will need artificial lighting - even during the day - in order to look their best. Here are some types of lighting to consider.

1. Accent Lighting

Accent lighting is perfect when you want to showcase a piece of art or a special piece of furniture or other item. Since light draws the eye, it will bring attention to the features in your room that you wish to highlight.

2. Hanging Light Features

Chandeliers and smaller hanging lamps can be beautiful as well as functional. A trip to the local home improvement store will quickly show you how overwhelming the choices can be. You'll want to select lighting that blends in with your existing décor. For example, a crystal chandelier in a country themed dining room probably isn't the best option. If you don't choose carefully, your lighting may stick out like a sore thumb and become more of an eyesore than a lovely accent.

3. Recessed Lighting

Recessed lighting is a good choice for a room that needs extra light throughout the day. Because the lighting won't interfere with the existing decor, it can work in almost any room. It provides abundant light without taking up a lot of space or interfering with other aspects of the room.

4. Lamps

Using lamps are a way to add not only additional lighting, but also punches of color. If possible, see how much light the lamp gives off before leaving the store. Many lamps serve as decoration more than as a light source and give off very little light. If you love the lamp, but it doesn't give off quite enough light, consider changing the shade which will usually solve the problem.

When decorating your home, remember how important lighting is, and give it the same thought and attention you give to the other details of decorating your home.
