Gigi Storksak - surprisingly little storage for such a large bag Aug 20, 2010
By CO I ordered this as a combination diaper bag/purse about a year and a half ago. My normal purse prior to having children was rather large, and after reading the product description I felt this bag would be great to combine everything into one. I would have liked to view it in person prior to purchasing but that wasn't an option. Had I seen it first I probably wouldn't have bought it. The amount of storage in the bag isn't what you'd think you'd get in a bag this size.
The bag consists of three sections, with the center section being by far the most spacious. One of the outside sections is used in lieu of my purse (that now only contains my wallet, keys and cell phone), while the other two are used for baby items. The two outside sections are tall, but narrow, and would be much more useful if they extended a bit more away from the bag. There is quite a bit of space in the outer sections, but the zipper on top is restrictive in terms of allowing you to find what you're looking for (especially if the middle section is stuffed full). The middle section is pretty terrible in terms of organization. They include a removable insert, but for me it eats up too much valuable storage space. I am constantly digging for whatever it is I am looking for, nothing is just readily available.
I have kept the bag this long because of the price I paid. I now have two kids under two and am looking for something else that will easily attach to the stroller, as this one will not. The construction quality is great - the material on the body and inside is very nice and has held up well - but, the straps do not appear to be real leather (they have started to crack and peel). This bag is great for throwing a few things in while on the run, but not (for me) as the one and only purse/diaper bag. Overall, I like this brand, but not this particular style and I would not recommend it to a friend.

The perfect diaper bag! Feb 27, 2010

I love this bag. I have a six year old and he's always trying to put things in my purse or have us carry something so now that we have the baby, it fits all her things with room for our son's video games and DS. It big, its roomie, the picture doesn't do it justice and the handles can be made bigger but I like the just the way they are.
It has wonderful pockets inside as well so you can keep your things organized and not loose things in the bottom of the big bag and when I know longer need a diaper bag it will still make a great purse for traveling with children and their food items and it will hold a laptop.

3 yrs of use, still good Jun 21, 2010
By VA Mom I purchased the Gigi three years ago. I have used it as my only diaper bag as well as briefcase ever since. I have two children (now 3 ½ and 18 mos) and work full time. I use the bag every day. It has also worked well on a number of cross-country vacations. It large but not monstrous. It is pretty lightweight empty. I pack it with a *lot* of stuff--papers, wallet, phone, diapers, wipes, sippy cups, makeup, etc., etc., so it gets pretty heavy. It stands up to this though. It doesn't tip and the internal organization is very good--one large main center compartment, two large side compartments, all with plenty of pockets, so my stuff doesn't end up in a big black hole. My only problem has been identifying which side compartment is the one I want. The only thing differentiating the sides is the storksak logo on one of them. For three years, I've been thinking I could easily solve this by tying or attaching something to one of the zippers. But I never got around to doing it. I haven't treated my bag with a great deal of care. After three years the bottom corners are beaten up and one of the straps is starting to come unbuckled. Structurally it has worn very well. I've had no zipper problems. Occasional washing with dishwashing liquid gets rid of stains on the exterior. I am now looking for a new diaper bag and interested in something different only for variety's sake. I think I'll check out other Storksak bags. I definitely got my money out of this one.
My wife finally found a bag that works! Aug 23, 2010
By J. C. Flynn My wife had been through numerous Diaper Bags until we got this one delivered. This bag looks good, and is functional!
The zippered compartments are great, as nothing falls out if the bag flops over on the floor. There is plenty of space in the bag for diapers, wipes, pacifiers, burping cloths, blanket, changing mat, formula, bottles, and a sundry of other things that end up being shoved in it. The adjustable straps are great, allowed the straps to be lengthened to fit around the baby stroller handles. It is very easy to clean. Is lightweight, so doesn't add unnecessary bulk to the bag when full.
Would recommend this, as i said, my wife is happy with it after an exhaustive search for the right Diaper Bag!
Ideal Diaper Bag Aug 07, 2010
By shopperoverload This is a great bag for a mom with a newborn or a mom of multiple toddlers. The three main zipper closure compartments are great for keeping things secure. Enough room for mommy's stuff as well. This diaper bag expands out to allow plenty of room. It is lightweight, durable, and the adjustable straps give you options as to how high or low you like to carry the bag on your shoulder. Another plus is this color/design looks stylish and not SO obvious it is a diaper bag. Price is a little extreme, but I believe this bag will last many years if used appropriately. If you want a bag that is functional and looks good on you, this is the bag!

The
Importance Of Lighting In Interior Design
by Jessica Ackerman
Everyone knows how important
paint color, furniture choices and artwork are to
interior design. One aspect of design that is often
overlooked, however, is lighting. Lighting not only
affects the brightness of the room, but it can also
change the way a paint color looks, cast shadows in ways
that make the room seem smaller and have an impact on
the presentation of art work.
There is no light like
natural light. If you are buying, building or
remodeling, opt for as much natural light as possible.
Oversized windows and skylights are two ways to get the
most natural light. Of course, not everyone is in the
position to be able to do that, so you'll have to work
with what you have.
How much natural light do
you get in your room? If the room in question faces
north, you won't get as much natural sunlight as you
would in a southern facing room. Rooms that face south
get bright, natural light throughout the day. Rooms that
face east will only have good natural light in the
morning hours and western facing rooms will have the
most light during the afternoon.
Once you are familiar
with how much natural light is in each room, you'll be
able to make informed choices about what additional
lighting may be necessary. Keep in mind that rooms with
little or no natural light will need artificial lighting
- even during the day - in order to look their best.
Here are some types of lighting to consider.
1. Accent Lighting
Accent lighting is
perfect when you want to showcase a piece of art or a
special piece of furniture or other item. Since light
draws the eye, it will bring attention to the features
in your room that you wish to highlight.
2. Hanging Light Features
Chandeliers and smaller
hanging lamps can be beautiful as well as functional. A
trip to the local home improvement store will quickly
show you how overwhelming the choices can be. You'll
want to select lighting that blends in with your
existing dÃÂécor. For example, a crystal chandelier in a
country themed dining room probably isn't the best
option. If you don't choose carefully, your lighting may
stick out like a sore thumb and become more of an
eyesore than a lovely accent.
3. Recessed Lighting
Recessed lighting is a
good choice for a room that needs extra light throughout
the day. Because the lighting won't interfere with the
existing decor, it can work in almost any room. It
provides abundant light without taking up a lot of space
or interfering with other aspects of the room.
4. Lamps
Using lamps are a way to
add not only additional lighting, but also punches of
color. If possible, see how much light the lamp gives
off before leaving the store. Many lamps serve as
decoration more than as a light source and give off very
little light. If you love the lamp, but it doesn't give
off quite enough light, consider changing the shade
which will usually solve the problem.
When decorating your
home, remember how important lighting is, and give it
the same thought and attention you give to the other
details of decorating your home.
