5Great item for the price  Nov 06, 2007
By S. Styles
We just got back from a trip that included four separate flights (2 to get there, 2 to get back). This bag was a life saver. I didn't know until shortly before the trip what we should do with the car seat, so when I found out we had to check it as checked luggage (we didn't have a ticket for our 15 month old or he could have counted it as his carry-on), I started looking for a solution.

This bag was reasonably priced, roomy, and durable. We put his car seat, portable booster seat, and diaper bag filled with diapers and books into it. With all this inside the bag ended up being kind of heavy because it is so roomy, but the strap held up well - no sign of the stitching or the bag itself starting to tear. Because of the weight, wheels might have been nice, but it was our choice to fill it so full, and the bag was only $15. The airplane luggage handling isn't always so kind to wheels anyway. I saw the ones with wheels, opted for the cheaper version without wheels, and I'm not sorry. If you have a family's worth of luggage, often you rent a cart at the airport anyway.

I would like to note that the pictures make it look like there is some sort of rigidity to the back and maybe some of the sides of the bag, but there isn't. It is just a heavy weight coated nylon or something, like a good duffel bag.

So... good value for the price - I highly recommend if you don't do a ton of traveling with kids! For one thing, once they get older you use their seat on the plane and there are other solutions for transporting it (strapping their seat to your carry-on, for example). That is a big reason why we opted for a lower-cost item when you have to buy so much other stuff the first few years that you only use for a short while. I was very pleased to find this product!

5Great Travel Bag  Mar 11, 2008
By J. Musgrave "Busy Mom"
This is the best car seat travel bag for the money on the market!! We looked for months to find a durable and affordable option, and this bag is both. It is made of a thick canvas material that you don't have to worry about ripping during transit. It also zips open from the bottom which makes it really easy to get your seat in and out. There is plenty of room in the bag to add any extra coats, toys, or blankets that you might need. If you are looking for a bag that is well made and easy to use, this is the one. We loved it!!

5good job for the price  Jan 12, 2008

pros: fair price, britax decathlon carseat fits easily into it with plenty of room to spare, shoulder strap is nice for carrying b/c it's bulky,

cons: none, unless you count that the material is not SUPER durable quality, but it didn't tear on my 4 airplane trips and is still in good as new shape, so it was definitely worth the price for me.

5GREAT travel bag  May 15, 2008
By DCM
We planned a 7 day trip with our 3 children (all of which are in car seats)in which we were traveling by air, we considered renting the car seats through the rental car location when we arrived however saw this bag and decided to give it a try. The bag arrived on the day that we were leaving and not expecting much I proceeded to stack the two "full back" booster seats together and attempted to slip them in the bag. To my surprise they both fit perfectly with a lot of room to spare. I figured with the extra room I would try to also place the "seat only" booster in the bag as well and they all fit. This is a GREAT travel bag, the material is sturdy and was one of the best purchase I have ever made.

5Great car seat carrier, super price.  Feb 22, 2008
By K. Duvall
I bought this for a trip my daughter took on the train. It came in the mail the day before she left. It is made with heavy material and seems to be built for more long term use. I could not get it to snap closed however. But that did not detract from how beautifully it kept my britax marathon seat protected! Would recommend.

The Importance Of Lighting In Interior Design

   by Jessica Ackerman

Everyone knows how important paint color, furniture choices and artwork are to interior design. One aspect of design that is often overlooked, however, is lighting. Lighting not only affects the brightness of the room, but it can also change the way a paint color looks, cast shadows in ways that make the room seem smaller and have an impact on the presentation of art work.

There is no light like natural light. If you are buying, building or remodeling, opt for as much natural light as possible. Oversized windows and skylights are two ways to get the most natural light. Of course, not everyone is in the position to be able to do that, so you'll have to work with what you have.

How much natural light do you get in your room? If the room in question faces north, you won't get as much natural sunlight as you would in a southern facing room. Rooms that face south get bright, natural light throughout the day. Rooms that face east will only have good natural light in the morning hours and western facing rooms will have the most light during the afternoon.

Once you are familiar with how much natural light is in each room, you'll be able to make informed choices about what additional lighting may be necessary. Keep in mind that rooms with little or no natural light will need artificial lighting - even during the day - in order to look their best. Here are some types of lighting to consider.

1. Accent Lighting

Accent lighting is perfect when you want to showcase a piece of art or a special piece of furniture or other item. Since light draws the eye, it will bring attention to the features in your room that you wish to highlight.

2. Hanging Light Features

Chandeliers and smaller hanging lamps can be beautiful as well as functional. A trip to the local home improvement store will quickly show you how overwhelming the choices can be. You'll want to select lighting that blends in with your existing décor. For example, a crystal chandelier in a country themed dining room probably isn't the best option. If you don't choose carefully, your lighting may stick out like a sore thumb and become more of an eyesore than a lovely accent.

3. Recessed Lighting

Recessed lighting is a good choice for a room that needs extra light throughout the day. Because the lighting won't interfere with the existing decor, it can work in almost any room. It provides abundant light without taking up a lot of space or interfering with other aspects of the room.

4. Lamps

Using lamps are a way to add not only additional lighting, but also punches of color. If possible, see how much light the lamp gives off before leaving the store. Many lamps serve as decoration more than as a light source and give off very little light. If you love the lamp, but it doesn't give off quite enough light, consider changing the shade which will usually solve the problem.

When decorating your home, remember how important lighting is, and give it the same thought and attention you give to the other details of decorating your home.
